Hidden Fees are Wrong

“What? You think this is wrong? I’ll tell you what’s wrong. Hidden fees from cell phone companies is wrong.”

I love this commercial from Boost Mobile. Whether or not anyone retains the message to use Boost Mobile’s service is questionable, but it’s hilarious and definitely gets your attention. And that’s what viral is all about.

Johnnie Walker – Keep Walking :: Viral Video

This is viral marketing at its best.  Scottish actor Robert Carlyle tells us the history of the Johnnie Walker brand from a humble shopkeeper to a successful global brand.  The credits are pretty impressive.  Almost the size of making a low-budget film.  Looks as if they did the whole scene in one take.  I highly doubt it, but if they did, I’m even more impressed.

“Hey, piper! …  Shut it!”

Old Spice Ever Clear Award!

Old Spice Ever Clear Award Winners

I have no problem with second place, especially among some really great spots from other talented filmmakers. Our Old Spice commercial, “What’s more Evil?” wasn’t purchased by Proctor & Gamble, but we managed to land the top award from Poptent.

My actors were awesome to be able to do this in one take. The lead, Pat Sutton, is a natural and is probably packing his bags to move to Hollywood. This is the second time he and Josh Redstone have helped me land an award after being Callaway stars.

The other two winners, “Morning Due” and “Evil Residue Blues,” had some amazing cinematography and special effects.  I’m always humbled by filmmakers with incredible skills.

The Wonders of Photoshop

Can’t believe this has been out since 2006 and I’m just now seeing it.
